Sometimes we get overcome with emotion and music is the only way out. Music helps us figure out how we feel, pulls us out of dark places, or allows us a moment to wallow and just be melancholy. Layna hosts “Dear Diary” which is a weekly hour-long show that focuses on the way that music makes us feel and how we use it to respond to and reflect our emotions. The show navigates certain moods, experiences, and both difficult and exciting emotions through the lens of pop, indie, and rock subgenres, including escape room, art rock, hyperpop, electropop, dream pop, and freak folk.
