On Tuesday, April 4th, WYXR and the University of Memphis came together to ask the complex question of why some successful native artists have left Memphis and also why remote artists are choosing to stay. Our 2023 panelists included Memphis drummer Charles Streeter, Memphis sound engineer Calvin Lauber, Memphis punk rock artist Alicja Trout, Memphis drummer Rodd Bland, Memphis rap mixer and producer Ari Morris, and guitarist and songwriter Will Sexton.

The 2023 seminar was held at the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music at the University of Memphis.
